Prof. Tzekomir Vodenitcharov (PhD, DMSc)
Elected for Dean of the Faculty of Public Health. Corresponding Member of the European Academy of arts, sciences and humanities – Paris , member of the World Federation of Medical Education , International Educator of the year 2004 (US award), American Medal of Honor for public health achievements. Prof. Vodenitcharov is the author of over 150 publications, 13 books, including the first Bulgarian book that treats the problems of voluntary health insurance: published in 1999 it is titled "Voluntary Health Insurance: Strategy of Choice", widely recognized as the major guide in Bulgaria’s health reforms. Prof. Vodenitcharov is an expert of the parliamentary expert: consultant of the Bulgarian National Assembly’s Commission on Healthcare.
